Completely deserving of its already widely received acclaim, the first SpongeBob movie has all the wit and wackiness of a TV episode, but longer. SpongeBob and Patrick attempt to save the fate of Bikini Bottom, which is under the evil rule of Sheldon J. Plankton, whose Plan Z to steal the Krabby Patty recipe finally seems to be succeeding. The heroic duo must venture out to the feared, famed Shell City, and on their way encounter biker fish, sea monsters and an evil six-foot-tall cyclops who likes googly-eyes and display cases.
