  Never would I have thought so much gore could be so funny. So effing British it’ll make your guts ache, “Shaun of the Dead” is the quaint little story of an average nine-to-fiver pale-faced slave who shakes off a pass in the dumps – his girlfriend’s just left him, he hates his job – by becoming a heroic zombie killer. It’s like my fantasy Mike Leigh flick, where the cast of depressing buttie’n'Mars bar munchers actually revolt and DO something with their blahs. Honestly, I nearly pissed myself on numerous occasions.
