  Paired together, this Oscar-winning animated short on the life of Oscar-nominated Canadian animator Ryan Larkin and the documentary on that film’s making paint a fully fleshed out picture of the creative and cinematic process. The editorialising Landreth does in his beautiful short is subtly revealed by Green’s careful doc, as is the great impact this whole process has had on the man who rests at both projects’ core, Larkin. One film would feel incomplete without the other.
