  A delirious pastiche that pays homage to 1940s film noir, Busby Berkley and bowling. Bridges stars as a 60s deadbeat who would rather be bowling with his pals but ends up entangled with an assortment of eccentric millionaires, petty criminals and sexpots. It may be the Coens’ funniest film since Raising Arizona, but it’s also one of their most unfocussed and self-indulgent works. Still, even a minor Coen-brothers movie is something to relish.
