Following an album of orchestral covers of songs by other artists (Scratch My Back), and another with orchestral takes on a dozen of his own compositions (New Blood), Peter Gabriel is now releasing this two-disc live set recorded in London with a 46-piece orchestra. It’s getting to be a bit much, especially considering Gabriel hasn’t released an LP of original material since 2002′s Up. That being said, this is still some damn great, beautifully arranged music, and Live Blood does feature five tracks which weren’t included on the two previous records, including a towering version of one of his very best songs, Biko.
