Leave it to the ladies of Chains of Love to steal the show on their debut full-length – namely lead chanteuse Nathalia Pizzaro and guitarist/vocalist Rebecca Marie Law Gray. A powerful back and forth between the two layers the span of the record, giving it a rough-and-tumble-in-the-back-alley, girl-group-gone-wild vibe. Behind the twosome, the band that play on delve into a shimmying rock-and-roll soul stomp, peppering their songs with a sheen Phil Spector would drool over: big beats, fuzzy tones, rolling organs and keyboards, and a rhythm and blues and pop love-in.
