What’s in a title? Everything in the case of this second LP from the English trio, who can make you swoon with dreamy melodies and kick your ass with raunchy riffs with equal ease, sometimes in the course of a single song. A myriad other nuances can be heard through these 10 songs: a little Led Zeppelin here, a bit of Radiohead there… Explosive first single The Devil Takes Care of His Own might as well be a White Stripes outtake, while Lay My Head Down is, save for a distortion-heavy breakdown, just about the most soothing ballad you could imagine. Sweet Sour indeed.
