Disc review

With this album, Kaliroots establishes itself as Montreal’s most successful roots reggae band in recent memory. Sure, plenty of other reggae bands have come out of this city, but these graduates of the Bob Marley school of reggae (and don’t hold the fact these kids are white against them) are still going strong a decade later. One-time Wailers guitarist Junior Marvin even guests on a couple of tracks. My favourite songs here, though, are the wonderful title track and Soleil. No doubt Bob would approve.
